2H Visit to the Library

Yesterday 2H went to the Library.  The lady read us 3 very funny books. Then we could choose our own book and I chose a book about tractors because I like learning how machines work. It was over too quickly and it was time to go back to school.                Written by Thomas

Our Seawigs

In Year 4, we have been reading ‘Oliver and the Seawigs’ by Philip Reeve and Sarah McIntyre.
We have just met Cliff who is a rambling isle who needs to attend the Hallowed Shallows for the Night of the Seawigs. However, he does not have a seawig so he cannot attend the contest. We have created seawigs for Cliff to wear. Take a look…which one do you think he will choose?

Replanting our Hedge

On Thursday we helped a team of volunteers from Thames Chase to re-plant our hedge at the back of the school.   All the Eco Warriors helped.  The people from Thames Chase also repaired our growing beds and built us a lovely mini-beast hotel.  We found a little frog.DSC08770 DSC08774 DSC08777 DSC08776 DSC08800 DSC08788 DSC08784 DSC08814

Eco Warriors visit the Mayor

On Wednesday, 14th March, our Eco Schools team visited the Mayor at the Town Hall.  They learnt about her role as First Citizen of Havering and how the Council are ensuring that the local environment is well kept and constantly improved.  They also had opportunities to try on the Mayor’s robes and carry the ceremonial Mace, as well as having refreshments in the Mayor’s Parlour.

They all really enjoyed their visit.
